1. 104-year old skydiver passes. What are you waiting for?
Dorothy Hoffner, 104, was likely going to be certified by Guinness as the world-record holder when she jumped out of a plane last week. Geezer Jock sent her story along to readers last Saturday.
You have to admire people who just get after it.
So what are you putting off that you think can wait another day?
2. It's ok to be human, Terminator.
Arnold Schwarzenegger has a new book out "Be Useful." He was pitching it to various media outlets and joked about his older body. The Terminator did not seem at ease about being a Geezer Jock, though he tried to laugh off his supposed infirmities.
I liked his movies, sort of, but his sociology is the same old stuff. He says kids need to be taught toughness and go through painful moments. What planet is he from? Oh, yeah, he has acted the role as other-worldly, oblivious to mere mortals and struggle.
Arnold, I'm telling you, kids these days go through a lot of tough spots. Look how they have to navigate around the guns, soaring rents, and the anti-capitalism of less competition in the market place. When Arnold says something to sell a book on his wide platform, it is permission for some people to think kids are soft.
Didn't our dads said the same thing about us until we proved them wrong?
3. I love these sayings that trigger some thought.
Just click on this and let it sink in.
And this from a wise funny man.
