Real quick:
Kyle Case, the CEO of The Huntsman World Senior Games, told Geezer Jock that he is expecting nearly 11,000 athletes to St. George, Utah, Oct. 3-15, for the 35th anniversary of the Games.
Case said the Huntsman Games is introducing the Bike Tour, which will give participants and their family and friends a chance to see the community.
In too many national events, competitors parachute in, play their game, and don't get a chance to see all the locale has to offer. Here's their chance at St. George, which is as picturesque as it gets.

Marathoner Brent Weigner of Cheyenne runs in Liberia on August 21. It will be the 32nd African country Brent has run in during his years-long world tour.
Geezer Jock profiled Brent in 2021. This Man Is All Over The Map.

I'm 65. When I stand just on my left leg I wobble. On my right leg, no wobble, no problem.
This just in. It's better if you can stand on one leg when you are older and when you are younger. Balance is big. Yep, there was a study of one-leg balance of older and middle aged people and what it is means to safeguarding from injury. Here it is.
This is just a summary, but you can pay for the full study.
The conclusions are that a lack of balance can cause death. You knew that, but the study puts some data with the grim news.
So, if you're reading this, get up and balance on one leg for 10 seconds. How did you do?
If you couldn't do it, fix it.
