Check Out Pan-Am Masters in Cleveland. What A Blast!; Sacramento Schedule; A Star Of The Senior Games

The Pan-American Masters Games in Cleveland is quite an event stretching from July 10 to July 21. It is well put together.

Here is a look at what's left on the schedule the next two days. More interesting is this link to results in all sports. Look through the results to check on your friends.

David Craig, featured in Geezer Jock last week, won the gold medal in the 400 meters (M70) with a 1:02.48. That puts him No. 1 in the world. David also won the high jump at 1.40 meters, or 4 feet, 7 inches.

Here is a link to a story on the oldest of the 4,000 athletes competing.

The athletes, by the way, came from 78 countries and nearly every American state.

Here is a shout out to Karl Ross, a hurdler and friend of Geezer Jock. Karl, who lives in south Florida, ran a season-best 1:11.16 in the 400 hurdles (M55) and took silver. The winner, Yannick Le Moul, broke the Canadian national record going 1:02.26.

"I wish I’d tried to stay with him a little longer, but opted for prudence as I knew he was an elite athlete and wanted to save my legs for the last three hurdles," Karl said.

Chris Hickey, another Geezer Jock supporter from the Potomac Valley Track Club, took third in the 300 hurdles M60. Just to be able to run and jump at over 60 years old is pretty cool. To be able to do it at an international event is way cool.

2. Meanwhile...in Sacramento at the Crown Jewel of U.S. Masters

3. This story from the National Senior Games website deserves attention

Check out this interview with Dr. Pearson because he discusses his life-long battle with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), a form of depression.

4. Last, but not least
