"The Indian Runner." Click On Dick. Streaking at 91.

December 16, 2023
Quick Stories To Glance At

1. The "Indian Runner" and destiny.

From Del Moon and the National Senior Games, a story on Mark Woommavovah, a runner, who has left a lasting impression in his native homeland. A 31-year U.S. Army veteran, you can see how "Woommavovah" translates in his native Comanche.

This is a story of a Geezer Jock meeting his destiny.

2. George Freeman, 91, and the "Why" behind his streak.

George is one of only two people to compete in every National Senior Games since 1989. Why does he keep coming back? It's simple, he says. The people. He has hauled in a lot of medals. Read what he does with them.

3. Real quick, click on Dick, and this other link.

Dick Van Dyke turned 98 this week and is exercising. The popular TV and movie star has a comment for us, courtesy of Growing Bolder. Read it here.

Here it is, the official results book of the National Senior Games in Pittsburgh. Some excellent photographs here with all the results from shuffleboard to softball to basketball and track & field. Yep, pickleball in there, too.

Hey, what an inspiration your site is, I would love to come and compete. However I am entered into the World Masters Table Tennis competition next year in Rome. My category is 80 to85. I train every day plus weights and aerobics and have never felt fitter!!
Anybody else going?
