A neurological disorder robbed her of her sight at 52 years old.She's still running 22 years later at 74. From Del Moon at The National Senior Games.

2. Your team is how old? 81?

On the National Senior Games website there is a roundup of events for the softball national championship competition in Columbus, Ohio. (Softball had to be split off from Pittsburgh July 7-18 because there weren't enough fields in Pittsburgh to handle the swell of teams competing).

The oldest player was 92-year-old Joanne Sogan of North Cantion, Ohio. Her team, the Ohio Tri Stars, had the highest average team age at 81.2 years.

And who says "softball is a girls sport?" Well, it is. Girls can play baseball, but they really show up for softball. Of the 94 teams, 73 were female.
