Stories You Might Want To Check Out

1. Finding Your Purpose

Geezer Jock has the story this week of Cherie Gruenfeld who found her purpose 23 years ago with the founding of Exceeding Expectations, which serves at-risk kids in southern California. If you need another boost to finding your purpose after 50, there is a documentary coming out by AARP Studios, "The Hidden Power of Purpose."

Here is the link.

2. They Ran A Marathon In Every State

At the end of this story on the AARP site is a video story we should all look at. The first part of the story is about running tips. The bottom part of the story has a video about a father and daughter who have run a marathon in every state.

You don't have to be so ambitious as to run 26.2 miles in every state to get something out of this video. The first two minutes is about the dad doing an about-face with his eating and health, which includes losing 50 pounds when he was over 50.

3. We Will Pass on $80 Trillion In Assets

Age Wave, a think tank that studies aging trends, has some revelations from a survey of US. A couple of these are eye-openers.
